What do an outbuilding, an artist’s studio + a specialty coffee brand have in common?
On the surface… nothing.
But together, they're creating something pretty special.
This month’s Art at Out brings a three way collaboration that feels effortlessly right. We’ll be exploring the beautiful + meditative art of painting with coffee + matcha - a technique often known as Arfe.
Painting with coffee is a unique sensory experience. The rich aroma, earthy tones + fluid textures create a calming, mindful atmosphere that encourages relaxation + focus. Working within a limited, natural colour palette invites you to experiment with tone, layering + composition in new ways - challenging your creativity while embracing the organic, unpredictable beauty of the medium. The natural patterns formed by coffee stains ensure that every piece is entirely one of a kind.
